Initial ideas for student magazine
Title: Student Monthly
Layout: The layout of my magazine will be very bold and easy to read but still look stylish at the same time.
Content: the magazine will have content that is relatable to students life at both college and university, by including both of these i will have a bigger target audience. The topics that will be covered in the magazine are; information on sports, how to revise/do homework and the best methods, what are the effects of different drugs/what they do to you, how to quick smoking and just general health care/advice. It will also include free give-aways and competitions e.g. the chance to win festival tickets. I could also include an advice page, discounts students can get from their favourite shops.
Price: The magazine wil be free, it will get its funds from sponsors being advertised in the magazine. As a lot of students do not have much money there would be a drop in the amount of readers if you wee to have too pay for the magazine and that is why i have set the price too free.

colour scheme: I am going to be using the colours; black, red, green and white as the main colours for my magazine.
Language style: The style of language will be informal as it is a student magazine and informal will make it relatively easy to read for them but also easier and a lighter read that will be enjoyable.
Images used: The image i am going to use for my front cover is going to be a person sat down at a table doing some work as the magazines main topic is going to be for the issue i am producing: The most efficient ways to revise/do homework. The contents page will be a pattern or some form of work ( sheets/books ) rather than someone on it.
Font: i am going to use the font impact in all capitals but with the first letter of each word significantly larger than the rest to make it stand out, this is a relatively simple font but eye catching and easy to read which is what i am aiming for. The colour of the text for the mast head will be red with a white boarder.
